Safe Journey provides emotional wellbeing and resilience lessons, projects and courses, all linked to PSHE criteria for KS2, KS3 and KS4. For staff training, please see our ‘Training and Courses’ page. Our work with children and young people is being evaluated by Birmingham City University to improve our service delivery and outcomes for young people. We also work in partnership with the Home Office to deliver workshops and assemblies linked to the Prevent Strategy from KS1 through to KS4.
We also work with children young people with behavioural and emotional needs and training for professionals who work alongside them within a variety of settings such as Special Schools, PRUs and Independent Providers.
We are qualified Youth Workers, Teachers and Protective Behaviours Trainers who have worked in Pupil Referral Units, Schools, Youth Offending Institutes, Youth Clubs, Children’s Centres, Universities and Women’s Refuge Centres amongst other places, with over 20 years experience of working in the public, private and voluntary sector.
Demonstrating what we do by way of qualitative and quantitative data is critical. Our evidence based outcomes show that what we deliver is affective and it works. It also helps us learn, develop and progress as a unique service provider for young people in an ever changing world. Those we work with gain Protective Behaviours strategies, enabling them to grow in confidence, increase self worth and build resilience. These strategies act as preventative and intervention tools for all to lead happy, successful and safer lives.
Our organisation is constantly evolving. We are forever looking to increase our knowledge when working with others and always look for new innovative ways to get the best outcomes for children, young people, families, organisations, Local Authorities (Social Return On Investment) and ourselves as a service provider. We are extremely proud of our outcomes and have been nominated in the past for an award for ‘Children and Young People Now‘ by Extended Schools.
